Chocolate-Honey Sauce
Difficulty Level: Easy
For dessert, you can make some Chocolate-Honey Sauce to serve over ice cream.
Equipment: Heavy-bottomed saucepan, measuring spoons, measuring cups, 1 screw-top jar.
Ingredients:
4 squares semisweet chocolate
4 tablespoons water
1/3 cup honey
2 tablespoons butter
Melt the chocolate in water over low heat in a heavy-bottomed saucepan. (Careful: Chocolate burns very easily). Simmer (a low boil) for 3 minutes.
Remove from the heat and stir in the honey and butter. Beat it hard, then serve over ice cream.
You may do this ahead of your big dinner, place it in the jar, and then reheat for dessert time. Do not boil if you want the sauce warm again.
